Vaulting Poles
The Pole vault is perhaps the most technical of all the Athletic events. In this athletic event, a long, flexible pole, called the Vaulting Pole is used as aid to leap over a horizontally placed bar. The horizontal bar is kept at a certain height supported by two upright stands. The jumper has to clearly cross the horizontal bar without knocking it down. The landing area is well covered with solid pieces of thick foam, in order to minimize any chances of injury to the jumper. Vaulting Poles are ingeniously manufactured from composites such as fiberglass and carbon-fiber.
